Learn from people, not books about people other people have learnt from and documented.

Thanks. It depends what sort of level you're looking at... but maybe pick up some A level text books, or get something like "Psychology: The Science of Mind and Behaviour" by Richard Gross.
What makes psychology better than psychiatry?
I'm interested in learning more about one or possibly both of these subjects. Can anyone recommend any easy to follow, but valid, books to begin with?

Can recommend from first year "The story of Psychology" by M. Hunt its old but goes through the basics and history.
Believe it or not one of my old PE teachers was called Mike Hunt.LOL - if his 1st name is Michael then that is very unfortunate....
I'm more interested in the social side. What specifically about the subjects the clinical or social sides? I'm in my final year doing psychology at uni.
