Carn't log into steam, just me?

I am meaning the log in on the website not logging into the actual client but i cannot log in on the website atall it just loads and loads and eventually times out after about half an hour :confused:

. Ive tried different computers/browers to no avail. Anyone else having this problem? is it me or something to do with steam?

Maybe try on another (trusted) computer with a different internet connection. At least this should tell if its routing problems or your account............

Alternate if you know how to use it, try logging on via Tor.

Since when? Its not like you can't buy from the Store through the client.

That is weird - but hence my suggestion of using Tor or (reputable) proxy servers but ONLY if you know what you are doing..........

This is the reply i got from steam support when i e-mail them about not being able to pay for any games through the steam client..

Won't work on the client either, but even if it did i wouldn't use it because i think the client uses IE.

lol I just don't trust IE, I'm not even certain the client does use it tbh but it the client doesn't work anyway so its irrelevant.

It is true, the client does use the Internet Explorer ActiveX control.

But there's nothing to be paranoid about, in order for IE to be a security vulnerability you actually need to visit a website that exploits those vulnerabilities. Since the Steam Client doesn't allow you to type a URL in and restricts it to Steam pages, there's no issue?

Well if you request screenshots in the Client Store it opens in IE so its likely.

I thought it did use IE, but like i said the client won't work either so it doesn't really matter

Wtf I just logged in using another internet connection fine so i was thinking it must be my connection, tried mine again after this and it works?! god knows how that works but its working so i guess I shouldn't complain.
