I've been trying some new stuff. Fancied a go at texturing. This probably wasn't the best photo to texture, but what do you think?

Had to go and fill up the car this afty, thought I'd take the camera on the off chance, and we got a rainbow! If I had an UWA I could've got the whole thing in shot as the other end was inthe next field!

edit: Also a bit of a play with HDR (handheld so all a bit blurry!). I know it's not to everyones taste, seemed the easiest way to get foreground details back in this shot though? I need to get some filters...

Thanks for the comments guys, very much appreciated! :)

Brilliant shots martin. Are you using GND or polarising filters? Or is it all done in pp?

For these I used a Cokin P ND8 Grad Soft; its amazing how little processing you require when using ND grads when the weather is good. I know the Cokins get bad reviews at times because of the colour cast, but I don't stack them so have never had the issue. I only use the one grad so the cost of it, coupled with the wide angle adapter and ring cost me less than £35 all in. I used to blend exposures in Photoshop to get the same effect, which was somewhat time consuming in comparison. Well worth the money.

:)
