AROMA:--------Tobbaco (ie cigars)...
TASTE---------Mellow
Smooth
Non Citrus!

Why? As far as bourbon goes jack daniels is one of the better ones.

I'm waiting for the OCUK ***** crew to come along "Yeah I mix stripey label whisky with squash, it tastes just as good as the expensive stuff"

I don't know, to me Laphroaig is extremely smooth, even the 10y but then again YMMV as everyone has different tastes

While we're on the subject, I've read laphroaig is smokey & peaty. Is it as smokey as the Highland Park 12?

I'm asking as I'm tempted to get a bottle, but would like to exercise caution as HP 12 tastes like 50 yo distilled cows ****

Laphroaig is very smooth. It is also very potent. Make sure you add a few drops of spring water.
