OK so i have been using Happy gamers for some time now but it seems that instead of adding more features to the site they are taking them away, i can no longer find out how to change my user background and i can't update my trophy list as its about a week behind so whats going on dose anyone know ?

How come there isn't a service that automatically updates, like MyGamerCard.net?

I think that the official Sony portable ID auto updates, but we can't use it here because the rules are still stuck in 1995 where everyone has to have a sig with tiny dimensions/filesize. :p

I'm gonna guess cos it's run (afaik) by one guy who works quite hard ;)

If your bored msg @thesnipergecko :p

I wasn't making a complaint about Happy Gamers, I was asking a question as to why isn't there something out there already that automatically updates information like the My Gamer Card service.

I'm quite happy using the Happy Gamers sig, it's just an inconvenience to have to keep updating your games and trophies on the website. I was surprised there wasn't another service barring Sony's own.

It's because Sony don't allow a lot of the information to be used in many ways. I know this is a problem that http://www.raptr.com have about Sony. They have loads of great features for the Xbox360 side, but Sony are really anal about the information they're sharing and it's the downfall of a lot of community sites and, as you say, updating your trophies and stuff is all rather ridiculous, especially in this day and age.

Would that be to protect the gamers from sensitive information getting out, ie. E-mail addresses, names, ages, locations etc, or are they just being stubborn?

I recently signed up for the European Playstation forums and I know that I haven't published my Email address, real name, age or location yet someone on those forums knew all of that information...

As you say, it's ridiculous to have to manually update all of your games and trophies in this day and age. It completely defeats the point of having that information on forums if you have to make a conscious effort to go and update them yourself. This is something the PSN / Gamercard service should do for you. As I said in my other post, it's a shame we can't have sigs with bigger dimensions here because I would've liked to use Sony's Portable ID.

i would like to stick with Happygamers but if your sig doesn't get updated automatically then whats the point, maybe if thesnipergecko reads this he can tell us why he has had to make the changes which gives us less on the site
