Hmmm just did a search and saw quite a few threads about left handedness. Seems a lot of lefties use their mouse in right hand while gaming.

Me? I use it in my left hand and wondered how many of you game with mouse in left, and what keys you normally use for movement etc. Personally I use the number pad but a lot of games will not allow you bind to all or some keys on it. Pretty annoying!

Not a lefty myself but what you need is something like the logitech g13 or the Wolfking Warrior ( I use this one ), that will allow you to put it conveniently for your right hand to use and you have all the standard keys there

Leftie here and always use my left hand for my mouse in games/CAD stuff. I'm fine using my right for desktop stuff (saying that I leave a trail of mice cords stretched across keyboards in all the librarys and uni computer labs that I use for more than 5 minutes) but as soon as I need to be decently quick/accurate my right just goes to jelly.

Normally I use the arrow keys for movement and the keys around them as fits. Theres a few games out there that I use WASD when either I have to use the top row number keys that cant be rebound or in ARMA where theres so many damn keys it would take an age to get them all working properly on the other side of the keyboard (though a few times I did use IJKL to make it more comfy).

Tbh I prefer the arrowkeys not just because theyre on the right but also because of the space around them as I tend to be able to find the keys around them better. Also dont know right handed people stick with using their left pinkie to hit keys like l-ctrl and l-shift its just awkward for me.

EDIT: stuff like the g13 & wolfking (from what I found on google images) doesnt really work properly as theyre geared for use with your left hand so in the g13 you wouldnt be able to use the thumb stick with your right hand (and pinkie) and the keylayout on the wolfking is based on thumb on the right and pinkie on the left. Not saying there arnt ones out there that would work but just many of them would be like that...wouldnt use them anyway.

surely if we're on about a mouse to use with both hands than Razer Copperhead. Mine looks symmetrical enough!

im RHD and not reall witnesses any 'wrong-uns' using a mouse. Im going to be looking out for 'you lot' now though!

I'm right handed but for gaming I use left hand on the mouse. Got an MX518 and I can't imagine using it right handed for gaming (use mice fine for work with right hand mind.)

It is just how you are taught. If i had a kid who was left handed, i would force him to do pc stuff right handed. Left handedness is almost a disability.

I'd have to agree with Mr Anderson... i think everyone i know who is left handed uses a mouse in there right hand, learning with your left is a severe disadvantage when almost every public access pc will use a right handed grip/setup.

I'm right handed and use the mouse conventionaly, and I have a wolfking like someone previous mentioned. It actually gives 1 more useable key, but at the same time doesn't have the backlight like my g15, so its not second nature yet in the dark for some lesser used keys. Also BF2 lets you unbind tab but u can't rebind it to something other than scoreboard.

I'm right handed and got into pc's to play il2. The first dilemna was which hand for joystick, had to be the right so mouse went left.
Mouse is still left for everything.
Never found it a disability as I was a total pc nub anyway.
Arrow keys for me and if the binding is unavailable then I don't play it.

I'm a lefty and have never really thought about this before. I've always just kinda assumed that the mouse goes on the right. Having it in my left hand feels weird, especially when you consider that the hand on the keyboard does all the work while the right hand just kinda moves about a bit and clicks.

I'm left-handed but use my right-hand for my mouse and left-hand for joysticks (back in the day). For the Wii I use my right-hand for golf and tennis but my left-hand for bowling. The main reason for using my right-hand for the mouse is to be able to use other computers, which was an issue as school - it wasn't worth the hassle changing it round every time.
