Gaming hand?

I'm left-handed but use my right-hand for my mouse and left-hand for joysticks (back in the day). For the Wii I use my right-hand for golf and tennis but my left-hand for bowling. The main reason for using my right-hand for the mouse is to be able to use other computers, which was an issue as school - it wasn't worth the hassle changing it round every time.

And what hand do you use to open your front door?

I'd have to agree with Mr Anderson... i think everyone i know who is left handed uses a mouse in there right hand, learning with your left is a severe disadvantage when almost every public access pc will use a right handed grip/setup.

I disagree. Forcing yourself to do it with a hand that feels unnatural (no jokes please) means you'll get used to it.

I'm right handed, but when growing up had the mouse on the left at home and right at school. As a consequence I can now use it either handed.

Another example: Goldeneye on the N64. When I first started I'd use the left hand block of the controller (right finger firing trigger felt most natural.) After being berated by my mates, I tried using the right side of the controller - and after a few hours it became natural.

Someone I used to work with was right handed but used her mouse left handed so she could click and write at the same time.

I dont see how using your left is a severe disadvantage at all, with public computers it doesn't take one second to pick up a mouse from the right hand side and put it on the left

Here's a pic of how my setup looks with the mouse on the left :D

Eek thats creepy, same mouse, same mouse mat (minus wee cushion), same headphones and by the look of it same monitors (though other way round but my viewsonic is also by secondary). Would have had the same case as well if I didnt decide to change at the last min and is that an extra set of logitec 2.1s on the left? Stop buying all my stuff!

Haha nice :D and yeah 2.1s on the left are cause the gf's pc is on the left out of pic :p

I use the mouse in my left hand and use the arrow keys with a combination of what the game i'm playing will allow me to script. Not ideal, but hasnt hindered me much.

Leftie here.

Left hand for mouse (buttons still in right hand setup), then WASD with the keyboard off at a jaunty angle.
