Ive had a tooh out (back one) and omg it hurt, and it hurts like hell now, it was a good 20 mins of tugging at it and my god. isnt it about time they made dentists friendly and not hurt, if they can cut arms off and crap now without to much trouble, then why is a tooth so hard.!

man up, I had a root canal when I was 12 followed by copious visits to the endodontist where I had big microscopes used to repair the ****e root canal, years of pain due to abscess and great expense to my father..

end result - tooth was removed

but I agree we should have friendly dentist..

I had a root canal, then another dentist came along and pointed out you couldn't save the tooth, while removing it, it cracked and split while removing it.
My dentist was a moron she could barely speak english, thick russian accent, she used to say "Open beak" like what? you don't even know it's called a mouth and you're a dentist. Reassuring.

You know that horrible screwdriver thing used to extract it, man I hate that.

Last tooth i had out he spent 15 mins trying to rag it out then decided to slice my gums open to help. That was nice.

Had massive overcrowding when I was younger (apperently I had extra teeth or something) had 6 taken out in total and it's still a bit cramped in there.

An anesthetic injection into the roof of the mouth before having a tooth removed is one of the worst memories of my childhood.

Last tooth I had out they game me codeine after so ask for some of that, I didn't use any of it though as the dentist must have been pretty good and it didn't hurt at all.

Exactly the same here, I've had about 6-8 out at one point or another and the roof of the mouth injection was awful, I gripped the damn chair so hard I thought I was going to leave imprints.

Funny you should say that, when I was about 12/13 I was having root canal surgery, dentist then proceeds to drill through the bottom of the tooth whilst carrying out prep work and into the nerve! I have never known pain like it it was horrible my leg flew up off the chair, he jumped so high as well. Needless to say he couldn't take the drill bit out the tooth and had to take the tooth out in the end.

I wish my dentist had given me codeine, my nan gave me solpadol which is supposed be like mega codeine given to extreme hip pain patients.
I took 2 not realising the dosage was one, since it wasn't kicking in i took another, I was high as a kite an hour later, I couldn't feel my hands. It wasn't nice.

You big baby.

The back tooth (wisdom tooth) I had removed just over a week ago and you barely feel a thing since they use Local Anaesthetic!!! The pulling you don't feel, just a ever so slight pull.

It does take about 20mins but the whole experience is painless, the same thing from 1 or 2 others I know who had wisdom teeth removed.

The only time you will feel pain is when the anaesthetic wears off and IF you haven't taken IBprofen and paracetamol together. There will be some slight pain during this time but it passes after a day or so where you won't even feel it.

There is a reason why your tooth had to be removed and whilst it cracked, given the circumstance of the tooth in the first place is it REALLY such a suprise that happened?

I had the same problem, and I also remember that horrible injection :(

Had 3 removed and i may need another, doesn't hurt that much, i usually ask for an extra injection, the first is probably the worst as any small jabbing pain you feel you think that the anesthetic has missed a section and that any second the nerve will be tugged and pt you into a mass of intense pain but it never happens!
