I assumed we were just getting the code 2 days early. But after re-reading that passage it does seem as if they are suggesting we will be able to play the beta today, 2 days early? I hope thats the case!

Can't say that sp videos looks that interesting. Same old set pieces with mounted guns, chopper kills (MW2) and a chase in the snow (MW2). I know dice probably felt the pressure to do this with MW2 on their backs but at least they could have made it a little different. I'm sure the mp will be great though.

Trust me this is far beond anything COD has done, if anything they have produced something COD could only dream about!
So what if they have a Snow level... its about all thats the same trust me!
same Chopper kills as MW2????.... are you kidding me? this isn't MW2 where you just shoot from the sky of a botted plane...... sum1 actually flys the chopper while someone else gun's! i fail to see how this is a copy of COD?
DICE/EA's Battlefield was here before IW came on the seen and imo they hold the greatest FPS on the market to date... no1 else has anything on them! And tbh even if this is a flop (which i doubt it as i've played it and couldn't get off it) BF3 is likely to be of the same standard as BF2!
Ok shooting people from a mounted gun aboard an aircraft. You honestly can't see the similarity. Also there was a set piece in cod 4 where you gunned people down from a helicopter 'Shock And Awe'.
It says we will receive the code 2 days early.. It doesn't say anything about being able to download/play the game before the 28th.

Are you talking about the UAV guided chopper? If you are then its 100% controlled by you, there is no set time to flying it unlike COD. You have to remember tho that BF did flying while shooting long before IW had a brain wave that turned in to COD4.... if anything COD is copying BF... only they have done a ***s poor job at it, as you have no control over the hardware in the skies!
these choppers are completely controlled by another person. even if your in single player and there is a bot flying, because you havn't played BC1 you wouldn't have seen that there was a level on there where a bot flies the chopper and you shoot.... that was out way way way b4 MW2 so as i said if anything MW2 copied BFBC.

Not really, it quite clearly states when the beta is due to start and quite clearly states that you'll recieve a key two days before that.
From what i understand Play,Steam,EAstore codes have been/will be mailed out this week.
They should have information about where to go for the beta client where to register/signup, which will be uploaded on the night of the 27/28th 12:01 or somthing similar?
Im 100% sure that no-one will be playing befoe the 28th though.

It states BETA access before anyone else, to me that sounds that we (Play.com customers) should get it before (Steam / EA Downloader).
If we get it on the 28th like everyone else then it isn't early access, which is the reason I bought from them!

, anyway just telephoned Play and they hadn't a clue and refered me to sending an email to [email protected].Going to bed now, been up too long and I feel my rage passing onto these forums.

There is no US retailer offering early beta access so I doubt EA and Play have some special deal for early access to their customers.
Everyone gets access on the 28th, Play customers (it appears) just get their codes early....
