...because the brilliance of
Mass Effect 2’s story and character manage to outshine all the tiny flaws that otherwise mar the game. It’s hard to talk about exactly how Bioware have achieved such a phenomenal quality of writing and delivery without either giving away huge spoilers or harping on endlessly about ‘the depth’ and ‘the narrative’ like babbling English teachers, but rest assured that Bioware has achieved that.

Whatever else
Mass Effect 2 does, it works in a way that has a real, lasting impact. It has flaws too, as everything does, but the gestalt holds true in the end and Mass Effect 2 ends up as more than the sum of it’s parts. Much, much more. This is easily and doubtlessly destined to be one of the best games of the year, because it’s frankly hard to see how it could get much better than this.

Thats a great review, personally I won't touch it because I found the game a bit dull and the combat woefull in the first one. I got about halfway then decided just to finish the game. The tearing also got on my bits.

I can stomach an RPG if the combat is enjoyable, sadly the review still says it's bad.

It will be a massive game for the 360.

Do tell? I take it its just 2 disks?

The linear stuff is on the first disc and the exploration stuff is on the second disc I think. The linear stuff would be stuff like the opening and ending missions like Eden Prime and Ilos from the first game. I could be wrong but thats how it was explained to me anyway.

You should only need to change the disc a couple of times so it's not that big of a deal.

Ahh right. presumably its fine just to install both?

You should have no problem with installing them, but you would still need to swap discs when it asks because the 360 needs the disc in the drive like any other game you install to the HDD.

The only multi-disc game I've played so far was Forza 3 and that didn't require swapping when playing the content on the second disc when installed

Looking forward ot this.

But honestly, surely they could have worked the disc swapping that if you had them both installed you wouldn't need to swap at all? Kind of like Forza 3?

What was the second disc in Forza though? Was it a game disc or just an extra disc with content that you had to install to a HDD?

Both of ME2's discs are game discs so I'm fairly certain you will need to swap discs still even when installed to HDD.

Exactly, you would have thought you would insert only the 1st disc and the 2nd disc would be treated as DLC which I think is the case with Forza 3.
