Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack

3 Years is great. Inside each pack is just 2 cheap AA's. I switched to Duracell recently and I get at least 2 times longer per charge then a brand new official. Only 6 quid for 4 as well.
 
I dislike the plug and play battery doo-dah. It only ever starts charging when the controller flashes for low charge. It won't charge at any other time and only fully if you leave the Xbox switched on for hours which I never do so I only get about an hour's play before having to plug the lead in again.

I got 2650's I think. £6 with delivery. Had them for aorund 4 months now. Only charged them about 4 times. Always just keep a set charged next to the XBOX.
 
I've just finished off a box of 40 Duracell and instead of buying another box I bought a new Uniross charger and 4 new 2500mAh batteries. I already had 4 2500s with my old charger some pap Energizer number that took 12 hours to charge but this new Uniross is great. 18 mins for a full charge.

3 years is good.
My first pack lasted about 3 years, then after that it would hold a charge for more than a few days if unused.

New one takes about 2 hours to fully charge, & lasts 50+ hours of play.

Not really considering that the huge charge current will destroy the cells MUCH quicker!
Far better to just buy 2X as many cells you need and get a decent trickle charger as this will prolong the life of your cells and all you do is swap them over when they run out, NO waiting and NO cell ass raping :p
 
Aye, I have an Ansmann Energy 16 and enough AA to fill it twice over. I've yet to retire any batteries, but the new ones I'm buying are mostly the low self discharge.

Something to consider supposedly a Kwh from disposable batteries costs in the region of £200>300

Looking at the maximum joules from an alkaline AA and 54p for a Duracell from a 24 multipack. I calculated £127 per Kwh, but since these are theoretical maximums and based on getting the cells all the way down to 0.8v. The initial figures might be about right.

Really? Yours must be very broken then. Mine has none of these issues and charges whenever i plug it in regardless of if the console is off or on. I bought one 2 years ago, not even an official one, and i get at least 20 hours play per change.

Why on earth everyone doesnt have one is beyond me. I payed only £8 for it. God knows how much i would have spent on normal batteries..

I plug my controller in just before I stop gaming & switch the 360 off, The 360 charges it auto & switches off when done it's Perfect. :cool:
