Anyone out there getting/looking forward to settlers 7?

I remember hugely enjoying the first on the Amiga back in the day but not so fussed on the subsequent ones. What's everyone else's thoughts?

Good find. I just checked out the video. looks good so far.

I really like the older styled ones like S1, S2 and S2 10 year anniversary :)

So I hope it's more like them than the others

Apparently Settlers 7 is the closest to Settlers II for a while. Still, I've heard that said about some of the previous ones as well, which were cobblers.

Settlers VI took a solid step backwards towards the gameplay of the first two from what i remember, which is always a good thing.

Anno 1404 is the best Settlersesque game i've played for a long time..

I'd have bought it until this happened. Instead, I'll wait a couple of days for it to be cracked and grab it from the 'usual places'.

ffs, when will publishers learn that laxer DRM will actually improve sales!

It will be cracked within 24 hours anyway, it doesn't matter what they do the code is still there, it just needs to be decompiled.

Someone has to go tell them how to do things right. Atleast EA are starting to see the light.

Installed and crashes on lauch, funnily enough after logging into the ubi.com account. Also it didnt create a shortcut of any kind, so have to dig around to find a file to launch the game from. Ahh well un-installed. Back to Settlers 2 10th edition.
