Battlefield BC2 looking dam sweet

im going to print that image out above. cut the edges off and glue them to my Dell 3008

on a serious note though, they have confirmed that the FOV is locked at what ever its it released at and that they want everyone in the MP to experience the same FOV. it wont be changeable via cfg file.

mmm says "and receive early beta access starting January 28th!"

on steam

How the hell is that early access though, it starts for all preorders on that date.

Somebody really need a good boot in the junk with this wording that has everyone scratching their heads.

After reading a thread of the steam forums, by the sounds of it my 2GHz core 2 duo just wont cut it :( and if I were to upgrade to a modern CPU it would mean buying a whole near motherboard and DDR3 ram :(

Damn games and their advancing tech requirements!

That clears it up for me. Early access on the 28th must refer to all pre-orders from all retailers participating in the beta program and I'm guessing the beta opens up to everyone a week or two later.

Because Play are sneaky buggers I always assumed the open beta started on the 28th and early access was the 26th.

It's only two days, but man does it feel a long way off.

TBH I dont really see the point in a PC beta now if the games coming out in early March, they cant change anything between now and then anyway.

A beta is more than just a way to test for bugs, its also a way for gamers to see if their system is able to play the game, or if the game is even worth buying.

Thing is. if you purchase something that you dont recived that day and it sates you will recive it that date , they are breaking the sales of good act 1979.

Its like when a well know company i reserved a copy of windows 7 online (upgrade version from Windows Vista i brought.)

it said reserve a copy today! And collect from store on realsed date!
Ofc me and my dad went that night before the release date and asked if we can. The store manager said no you cant do that, you would have to send it off to recive the upgrade, we printed off the sales advert off there website saying we can do it from an upgrade windows vista, my dad had the phone number to trading standards and he said he was going to ring them there and then. ofc that night they sorted it we can collect in the morning.

Sneaky? really?
I'm sure this has been covered several times already, but:

Codes and instructions on how to access the BETA early will be emailed two days prior (currently 26th January)

Don't tell me that doesn't sound like a deliberate ploy to reel in the customers. That doesn't just imply that you get the key early, a lot of us interpreted it differently.

Yes they can, Betas like this are about multiplayer balance not about fundamental bugs/coding issues.

Stuff like adding a shield to the mounted guns/changing amounts of damage/accuracy of certain guns/removing/fixing exploits which earlier play testers missed because they where looking for bugs not grief etc.

There is huge amounts that can be changed very easily.
