The 10% paycut I took, and a third of my colleagues being laid off last year was a big hint for me.
Yeah my office going down from 200 staff to 60 with people still being laid off was the biggest hint over here.
I wish someone had told me a masters in civil engineering was worth squat before i wasted 4 years

I was ashamed to see Stephanie Flanders on the BBC talking up the economy.

It's not worth squat in the long run; it's just a bad time right now. When things are good, you'll be thriving. I'm in the industry.
Recession or not, I'm still having pay cut in effect as from next month.
