My work colleague has just bought a ready made system from OCUK with 64 bit Win7 installed but is old Belkin wireless adapter won't work.
Which one would you suggest from the OCUK list since we're only a couple of miles away?

Thanks

I've played around with adapters from Netgear and DLink and have to say the DLink ones are far better for Win7 x64. Win7 finds and installs drivers for them natively, without the need to run setup, so you can be online in seconds. Netgear dongles, not so much. :o

OcUK don't sell the 300Mbps DIR-140, only the more expensive quad band DIR-160. Personally I'd just try out the OcUK Value stick (of the appropriate rating for his router) and see how that goes. They're WAY cheaper than the branded ones.

Avoid Zyxel like the plague, they STILL don't have drivers for Windows 7! Maybe February they said.

Also Linksys took down their Windows 7 drivers and devices on their Windows 7 compatibility list do not work in Windows 7 64-bit. Absolute disaster how they still can't get Windows 7 to work!

My mate called in another shop and bought a Linksys and it worked

i've got an old netgear wg111v2 usb stick that i haven't used for a few years, plugged it into my win 7 x64 machine the other day and it was recognised and installed automatically straight away

seems to work pretty well too from the quick play i had with it

I bought an edimax usb wireless adapter and could not get it working at all with my win 7 64 bit.... not a happy bunny.
