ATI Catalyst™ version 10.1

I get screen tear in the centre of video with these new drivers and scrolling through web pages looks dodge too :( disappointing tbh!

Just had a nightmare as when I installed 10.1, it disabled my 2nd 5870 and Crossfire disappeared!!

Even after uninstalling and re installing 9.12 still no Xfire!!

In the end I had to repeat these instructions below:

"It is a driver issue of sorts for me, this ended up being a residual driver install, where the ccc of 9.12 would not remove itself.

In the end, i had to uninstall drivers, use driver sweeper, remove the second card from mobo.

Boot into windows, install drivers for the first card, and then shut down.

Install second card into mobo (no crossfire bridges attached), boot into windows, install drivers again, then shut down.

Then attach crossfire bridges, boot into windows, enable crossfirex, then reboot windows. "

Did install 10.1 each install from above and now Xfire is back!! Phew!! :D

well, at random times it would drop the core clock to 157MHz, meaning watching streaming video or .avi/wmv files etc would cause 'glitches' on the left and right screen, but not on the centre. now it only drops to 400MHz, and doesn't suffer from this problem.

one thing that still hasn't changed is afterburner telling me gpu core voltage is at 1.652v... which scares me and baffles me  glitch in afterburner or is it actually, randomly, pointlessly setting this voltage? (does this in game and in 2d btw)

EDIT: it's just done it again, nothing open apart from steam, firefox and msn, but the voltage is 1.649 now... WTF

EDIT2: reinstalled afterburner, doesn't do it now :)

crysis up from 49fps in multi-gpu mode to 50.5fps - 53.5fps with an overclock xD
and getting 31fps in single gpu mode. the scaling in crysis doesnt seem too disasterous anymore!! settings were 1900x1200 4xAA very high settings (8.69 drivers)

Working fine for me, all games ive got installed a ok still, Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Fear, Stalker SOC, GTA IV, Deus EX, Dirt2, Dirt, Grid, Fear 2 (fixed the white lines you get if you have the AF set in the CCC and the game), Shift, Stalker CS, HL2 and the episodes, plus the WEI went up to 7.7 from 7.6 for both :p

Anyone know if these new drivers mean that 120Hz monitors now work with ATi 5870 cards? The release notes state; "120 Hz is no longer missing from display modes for specific digital displays" so does that mean you can now use a 120Hz monitor okay?

Bump, 120hz gonna work at lower resolutions than native?

Same here, no problems using 9.12, so will wait and see a bit, it dosnt sound too promising so far.

Do you play GTA4, Dirt2 and MW2? I'm getting flickering Flashbangs, in MW2, flickering shadows in GTA4 and missing effects in Dirt2 with all drivers since the 9.11's.....
