It's not about bugs it;s about server load and MP balance.

Basically just changing variables etc on dmg/rate of fire/accuracy/fov etc.

This, only because I cannot believe that a game which has likely already gone "gold" will have many groundbreaking bugs and the game will be pretty much "as is" with minor tweaks which get reported here and there.

It is more of a marketing tool if anything else and helps to build hype before the actual release.

Soon, I am certain that "pre-ordering" will give a select few closed beta access.
 
It is beta and a lot of people will be expecting a smooth ride.

Roll on the massive rants and moans about buggy gameplay and crappy net code that won't get sorted till a number of patches have been released.

Sadly from past game experience this is likely to be the case.
 
Id imagine most of the fixes will be in a first day patch, same as bf1942 had. Obviously the game isn't gold yet, they'll have about 10-14 days after the beta starts before it goes off for duplication so some minor stuff will probably make it in.

The reason the console beta's run before the PC beta is that more time is needed to get the on release patch quality certified by Microsoft or Sony. With the PC version, they don't need this.

In theory, the PC beta probably already has some tweaks taken from feedback in the console Betas.

no, ive never really been that bothered about graphics tbh, I always turn then down to low anyway no matter how well it could run on high. Its all about the frame rate and draw distance for me.
 
Has everyone apart from em got their key now? :(
Have managed to find an email address for them on Google, but the automated response says upto 72 hours :rolleyes:

Once i get this key i'm definitely off to Game
 
any one know what time in GMT the beta goes live for download ? some have said 3pm and others say 7pm , my time conversion googling skills are made of fail :(
