Can't see me having a problem, hopefully.

I hope this is a game that can give some 'moments'

Example:

on insmod, or insurgency mod i just remember walking round a corner and an RPG flying down the street, missing by a small fraction and hitting the wall. The impact of vision and sound was incredible, proper immersion like. Not had a moment like that in any other game.

Says the guy who has his spec in his sig.

Lol spec is in sig so when I need help I don't have to re-type everything.

I thought that was the point. There's not exactly anything to boast about there.

Posting the equivalent of a NASA mainframe with the typical, 'wonder if my rig will be ok' is just pathetic.

Now the recommended specs, does that mean you can run it on high if you have pc equivalent to it?
or does it just mean to enjoy the game...

Intel Core i5
4gig ddr 3 ram
ati 5850

i bloody sure hope i can play it on max after forking out all the dosh..

well, with turbo feature on the i5, i hope it helps a bit.

is a 5850 equivalent to a nvidia 280?

it would be cool if this was windows live, so i could play with my friends on xbox live from pc, you can do that with dirt 2

How many times have you needed help out of interest that has warranted needing it to be on show on a daily bases? I keep mine in a text file and paste as requires. So far I have maybe had to use it once in 6 months, maybe twice.

Actually your PC is better than about 6 gamers that I know. It was better than mine until I got my rig last year.

No I know my rig will run it, I have no doubt about that. However with a game that is like battlefield which generally has a large draw distance and has more players in one place and more things happening than your average game I am unsure if running everything on max will be viable under DX10 settings. I was mearly stating my hope for that. Sorry if I made your hardware feel inadequate.

Any way this is going OT. Back on topic...

Not long now! Hope I can get 5.8mb per sec on my 50 mb connection on steam...

Well im back from playing the 360 version. Mainly becasue im pretty poor with a pad and the jaggies are horribly, how people play like that i'll never know.

Initial impression are good, gameplay is fun, the sound effects are really good and when you point your gun at people and press the trigger you can actually hit them unlike BF2. Just needs mouse n keyboard, higher res textures and some aa and it'll be great ;)
