i'm a great believer in Karma

what goes around comes around. Proof is that i have one particular friend, who is honestly one of the nicest guys you could meet. Nobody has a bad word to say about him and ive never seen him angry. He plays the slot machines not because he needs the money, but just because he enjoys sticking a few £ in every now and again. He wins every single time almost. Quite often wins jackpots of £50 etc.. only putting £1 in.

Moral of the story is, do good deeds to others, and you'll be surprised what luck comes your way.

I agree with that..

Wouldn't mind mine doing, but i don't suppose you'd consider doing it for £45? :p

Na, but seriously, nice one for doing that. I know what it's like being young and owning a car and it's bloody expensive. I know that isn't your problem, but well done for "having a heart". If you'd done my clutch for £50, i'd be sure to bring my car back to you for everything it needed doing in the future, not because of your VERY competitive prices (;)) but because it shows you're a decent mechanic who isn't like the majority who are only interested in cutting corners and getting the most amount of money out of the customer.

EDIT: Wait, i think i misunderstood the OP... You're just a guy who's handy with a spanner? Still, fair play to you.

Why don't you let him watch you too, so he can learn something.

He could be your apprentice, you could be master! SITH rule of 2, always master and apprentice.

How many hours does it take? If you're doing it as a homer, it probably works out about the same as a mechanic would get paid per hour anyway?
