To those who dislike UK "immigrants"

I'm sure you've integrated well by making cuckoo clocks and gorging yourself on toblerones whilst stroking an assault rifle. Am I right Spie? :p

No but your ancestors did;)....Britains colonisation of other countries has meant that now you have those same people you colonised, coming here in their droves.

Also i didnt take part in any terrorist activities ie bombings etc but yet i have to accept the consequence because i happen to share the same faith/religion as they do?.

I don't think you can compare the 2. One is happening now and the other not. I agree that one shouldn't be tarred with the same brush as another, but what are those who are not involved in extremism doing about those who are? It's all very well for ALL of us to standby and complain about being persecuted and do nothing about it.

If ANYONE comes to live in this country, they have to first past a strict test which (like in OZ and Canada) helps to bring those with key skills.

They should not get any benefits for the 1st 2 years or until x amount of tax/NI has been paid.

If they live here, then they live by the law of the land (no exceptions).

If they commit a crime within the 1st x years, then they should be sent back to where they came from (of course the seriousness of the crime should be evaluated).

Other than that, in general we have to have a limit. This country has circa 62 Million people, that's 5 x less than USA, we have 672 people per square mile, USA has 83 ppsqm... Time to close the doors already I think. :D

Yes, some xenophobic "Indigenous white Britons" lack the ability to help integration and lack respect for people of different cultures.

I'm glad you wrote SOME and it's true, but I think that it works both ways and the are SOME "non-white Britons" Indigenous or not who lack respect for the British culture. It's not just a case of not understanding the culture, it's also not accepting. Shame really.

The US does have a large percentage of not particularly inhabitable land though, given the deserts and freezing bits.

you not what the common factor here is? Both groups comprise of the human species. Some people don't seem to understand this. There are idiots in ever culture. There are more similarities between people from different cultures than there are differences.

Another way to look at it, in the grander scheme of things, out of the 200 countries listed, the UK is only the 51st most densely occupied country with 253 people per km^2. Compare that with Macau at 18,534 per km^2. We have nothing to fear yet!

Agreed.

Nothing to fear yet.. True, but we can prevent that now before we get to Macau's level. :)

What's important to remember is that with any tight space, MOST people panic...

I wish this thread wasn't started now :p

Still, gives me something to write...

Really, London has a population density of around 4000 people/km^-2, New York City has a denisty of around 10,000 people/km^-2, Paris is around 20,000 people/m^-2 (can't find the KM variant, but Paris is significantly denser than the other two. The other two aren't even in the top 50...

I don't see people panicking in those places yet, and they are nowhere near the top of the density league...

I think the height of the buildings might explain these differences Dolph.

Indeed it might, but it does go to counter the idea that our current population density, even in cities, is some sort of problem.
It depends what you mean by problem. There is a shortage of housing. That is a problem.

No but your ancestors did;).

Exactly my point, I didn't so I haven't actually reaped anything, so the question still stands why should I suffer the consequences?

Also i didnt take part in any terrorist activities ie bombings etc but yet i have to accept the consequence because i happen to share the same faith/religion as they do?.

And what consequences would they be?
