I love how i try to run over someone with a tank and he passes through it, not once but twice before slapping me with an rpg. 
Same dodgy collision detection i seen in ps3 videos.
At the minute i really dunno about this game, the helos seem really badly done, control for them just seems to be abysmal, i don't get how we can go from the bf2 controls being almost perfect to controls that just seem unresponsive at best. So far if id to sum up this beta in one word, the word "clunky" would come to mind, everything just has a really half assed sluggish feel to it, which may or may not be down to servers, have to wait and see.

They are complaining, fair enough. But they aren't crying about it and saying its unacceptable, and they won't buy the game and how things were never this bad; they acknowledge and recognise it is the FIRST NIGHT of the beta and there will be problems.
TBH what you seem to want a Beta to be is what a Release Candidate is.
Don't be absurd, this is exactly what you should expect to happen in beta, never mind alpha.

No but Dice has many times and they still screw it up LMAO.

christ, finally got in by just hammering join game on the play now thing. I must say, even though the server browser is buggy as hell, the actual game is awesome.
Seriously having real issues. Everything on max 1900x1200... 50 FPS fine, then bang every couple of seconds 25 fps and feels like I freeze. Tried putting on low and some crap settings, exactly the same :/ wtf. Also flashing water
Mate just don't worry about it for now. All these graphics issues will be fixed. I'm on a GTX295 and it seems obvious that optimisation is still a work in progress. Still though, looks good and my FPS is stable on 16x AA and AF on full High settings and 1900 by 1200 res. I can def tell the difference when I switch to normal though. FPS probably doubles.
Another annoying factor is the fact i cant bind my side mouse buttons to knife / sprint etc, though its just beta i suppose these will be ok for the full game
