I have just switch from bt unlimited option 3 (yeah) to ZEN pro , have a made a good mood , it £14 a month more than bt but i think they are far laxer than bt with FUP`s ? its the adsl service but thats all i can get at my exchange ?

I've heard nothing but bad things about BT.

Was with zen for about 4 years and moved to BE only because they were cheaper and I wanted more than a 2mb connection without a limit. Far as I know, zen have a 50 gb a month limit on their thing if you're taking their 8mb package. No fair usage policy really, but that limit is there. You have to pay extra per gb if you exceed that. On my 2mb connection, I think I had a limit of 100.

They were excellent as a company. In 4 years, never had a single problem so never had to call them. Connection never dropped once and speeds were constant throughout. Shifted houses with them and that was flawless too. Told them on friday that I was moving and they said by next monday (so about 10 days) the connection would be up and running. On monday however, (so 3 days later) I checked my ADSL, and it was already operational. I called to tell them about it, and they were as surprised as I was, but hey, working connection :p

Zen are an excellent company. I was with them for many years. I only moved away as my exchange was unbundled and I could get higher speeds.

I've got two Zen accounts and have used them for years. They are expensive but the service is excellent. I've had a couple of router issues in the past and the quality of support they provide is superb. It makes a real change to get to speak to people in tech support who don't treat you like an idiot.

Recently moved from Zen to AAISP, no complaints at all about the service but we wanted a faster line and AA resell services over Be's backhaul.

To answer your question directly, Zen have no FUP. You have a set amount of bandwidth a month and you can do what you want, you aren't limited in any way...

No port blocking
No traffic shaping
No throttling
No P2P restrictions
Nothing

I had two lines with them and I have switched both this month for O2 simply because I can get LLU and much cheaper than Zen, otherwise I would still be with them.

I was with them for four years, had to call technical support twice, once for a quick setup question, once when something wasn't working properly. Both times I got straight through to a technican in Rochdale who knew exactly what they were talking about, both times it was sorted instantly.

The best bit about ringing them is the phone traffic monitor on their website so you can see when the phones are busy so you can avoid hanging around in a queue!

You won't be disappointed with them if LLU with a decent provider (Be/O2) isn't available in your area.

I just had a look at Zen's site but I can't find their pricing structure. What are people paying for Zen?

They sound OK but it looks like their broadband service is limited to 5-50gb a month, unless you're willing to pay £1.50 for each additional gb. Seems a bit stingy.

I have been with Zen for about four years and they have been first class. Sure they are expensive compared to most but if you want a service that works as advertised and is hassle free then it is worth it.
£35 a month for the pro package and you get 50GB allowance which is clean and not shaped or restricted in any way. Uploads are not counted in this.

I have recently upgraded to their home office package which sets me back £52 a month and gives me a 100GB allowance and increased upload speeds.
