California votes to legalise Marijuana FOR EVERYONE!

My turn?

People are making out pot is totally safe, everyone accepts the risk of alcohol. Accept the risk of pot as well.

It's about what's the worse drug for you, alcohol destoys more live than pot ever will.

Your turn because it's like a game of ping pong this argument :)

not one of them actually being a research paper but news articles/blogs...
Fact: There is no convincing scientific evidence that marijuana causes psychological damage or mental illness in either teenagers or adults. Some marijuana users experience psychological distress following marijuana ingestion, which may include feelings of panic, anxiety, and paranoia. Such experiences can be frightening, but the effects are temporary. With very large doses, marijuana can cause temporary toxic psychosis. This occurs rarely, and almost always when marijuana is eaten rather than smoked. Marijuana does not cause profound changes in people's behavior.

I agree.

Just because there is a worse drug on health, does not mean pot should be legalised, especially considering other effects which nicotine does not have.

I agree to a point, but trying to argue pot versus alcohol isn't the way forward, both have negative aspects but I'd prefer to live with a pothead than an alcoholic any day.

Rubbish, I've seen the effects of it with my own eyes, and I know plenty of Doctors that would agree, nothing can tell me otherwise.

exactly and it also ignores many other scientific papers.

Only way to settle it outright is to test, Several thousand people on a double blind test, using heavy doses for a decade or two.

You haven't seen the damage it can do to someone with schizophrenia:(.

What drink or cannabis?

My dad was schizophrenic and an alcoholic, with reflextion as an adult everyone who was connected to him probably would have had a far far easier time if he smoked weed instead of beer and whisky. Either which way, his head was like a yo-yo anyway. I know which factor resulted in violence. He was diagnosed as a drink induced psychotic. It wasn't one drink, but almost crazy abuse of the stuff.

Which is all perfectly legal. :)
