Well they released a patch for the beta that instantly upped performance substantially, so it's clear that there's still some optimisation to be made.
I wonder Rroff, if nvidia cards were doing less well off in those benchmarks that were posted earlier, would you have a different opinion?
But did it make any difference to the gap in performance between the ATI and nVidia cards?
My opinion is if thats final performance (as in % difference between the different cards) I'd be a bit dissapointed if I'd upgraded to a 5 series card from nVidia to play this game and spent a lot of money on it - no more no less don't read any agenda into it.
Well with your comments your blaming the performance squarely at the 5xxx feet as if you know its nothing todo with the code of the game.
That is my dispute.
I'm not blaming the poor performance on the 5 series exactly - as above - poor performance could be due to poor coding, limitations from other things such as CPU - i.e. physics sapping a lot of the frametime or just that many effects are heavier on oldschool processing power such as the ROPs where the last 2 nVidia generations are still very capable.
