BC2 BETA... Your thoughts and SCREENSHOTS of it

Almost every match is CTDing now. Although I think the points are added throughout the match though, so that's cool.

Just got accused of cheating after taking out half the entire team sniping on the hill. It's called a semi-auto sniper and adjusting for bullet drop. N00bs. I can get 4 or 5 hits on target with my pea shooter in the time they can lay down one (missed) round.

Yeah I have been CTDing this morning too. :(

With my lowly E6850 @ 3.8, 4GB PC6400 and 8800GTX, I'm playing on high with 4x aa and it's perfectly playable for me.
Still can not figure how you find this playable at high? As I have said with my stats being virtually the same as yours, though mine slightly better. BS?
One more stat I forgot to mention, I am on 4gb of ram too.

how much IS the bullet drop?

If you're defending and you go to the back of the big building at the first defense part of the map (the one with the turret on the third floor), stay on the ground and peek around the corner of the building. If you aim at the hilltop where EVERY SNIPER AND HIS DOG GOES (bleh), line up your sites with the M24 and have the vertical line in line with the guy's head. Wait until his head is 2/3rds of the way below the centre point towards the next dot down on the scope and that's dead on.

Far too little pics in this thread, how does it look on 1920x1080 or 1200 with 4x aa and everything on high ?

As for the performance, how does it run on say a GTX260 and a 3.2ghz quad ?
As the for the dual core users, why are you complaining, you have an inferior cpu to the ones in the consoles, don't expect it to run better...

Runs fine, set to 1680x1050, medium, 4xAA and get a nice 40-60fps, anything lower than 40fps makes u miss things in the heat of the battle.
I need to see about texture quality as i visually dont see the diff between low and high unless i did a check on the wrong objects.

Is a dual core at 4.2 less powerful than the consoles? Didn't know that.

Dice has the fortune of knowing exactly what hardware the PS3 and 360 versions are designed to run on. They have to tailor the PC version with hundreds of different hardware configurations in mind.

The 360 has a triple core CPU with two threads each, and the PS3 has a single primary core with 7 synergistic processing element cores. Both designs may be several years old, but they have markedly greater potential than most typical PC dual core processors, like the core 2 duos and the Athlon X2s.

If you look at all the guys who have problems (including maybe yourself) with the PC beta, then you try the 360 demo, you would be surprised at how well and responsive it runs. Ditto for the PS3 beta which is closed now.

Hell, my system is a core 2 duo at 2.6ghz with 4 gigs of memory and an overclocked 4870 and I still can't get it to run and look the same as my 360 demo. I'm simply going to chalk it down to crap programming for the PC version on Dice's part.

Bullet drop is tricky sometimes... especially when some shots you fire straight at someones face when they're stood in plain view and your shot keeps missing. No way in hell is it dropping the whole length of the player.

Tbh i hope theres a Training mode in the full release, or at least the ability to go in completely alone. Would mean you could spend a while with a Sniper seeing how much the bullets drop at a distance (since if you hold down fire it won't reload so you stay scoped).

To spot you have to have the enemy in the crosshairs, you can't just point in the rough direction. Its helpful because if someone else kills it you still get a 20 point Spot Assist.
