The whole console's are cheaper thing makes me laugh, especially when that person posts on the internet.
They are on the internet, so pretty much you can guess they have a PC. OK, there are several devices you can get on the net with but chances are they are doing it from a PC with a monitor etc.
Say you then buy a game a month, not unreasonable I feel? And those games are at least £10 cheaper on the PC.
Then as MS and Sony tell us, this is the 'HD era' so lets add in a nice HD TV to play on. Oh and the HD lead as they don't include those any more.
Oh and lets not forget the £40 odd quid a year for xbox live, and then getting charged for DLC, or even wanting to change your gamer tag.
So his...
"X360 = £129.99 + Game = £34.99 = 164.98"
Becomes...
"X360 = £129.99 + Game = £34.99 = 164.98" + HDTV + HD cable +live +(12x£10) +DLC = A bloody nice wedge of cash to upgrade the PC he is already using.
Simples, no?
OK, that is all an oversimplification of it but so then is 'PC's are more expensive, cost over a grand and have to spend £400 on upgrades every 12 months" argument.
