The Passat of Love

Here's a photo of my car, in the cold, at night, without a tripod.....why on earth you;d want to use 1/3rd of a second though i dont know!

F2.8, 1/25th of a second, ISO3200, 67mm

v nice :) shame about the corsa next to it :p :D

You have far more ambient light than I did.

F2.8, 1/25th of a second, ISO3200, 67mm 1DsMk3
vs F3.5, 1/3 of a second, ISO 100, 18mm D70

I think I did quite well as opposed to your superior kit ;)

According to your EXIF, you had far far more ambient light ??? if you're getting a third of a second @ f3.5 iso100, you'd be getting 1/96th of a second @ iso3200 f3.5, which is roughly 125th of a second at iso3200 f2.8. So for me to get 1/30th of a second at f2.8 iso3200, you mustve had about two stops more light than me......if you'd exposed right. Yours are about a stop or so under exposed....so you had about a stop more light. Learn how to use a camera.

EXIF trash talk, love it:)

The D70 is rubbish at anything above ISO 200 at best.

What setting would you have shot ?

And I love how i post up a pic of my car and all the bmw drivers jump on me because its not a perfect photograph!

I don't drive a BMW or take many photographs, but even I can see that they're poor.

It's hardly a scenic place to take a photo and the car is so far away that you can't really see it properly. Couldn't care less whether it is a standard Passat, Panda or Ferrari, a poor photograph is a poor photograph.

my car has nothing to do with your lack of ability :p

I'd use as high an ISO as required to get a well exposed, sharp photo and remove any noise created afterwards.

I have no idea whats going on, but I'll take a stab in the dark.

Fox made some anti-Passat comments, and now Passat guy wants to knock 7 shades of **** out of him? :p

Edit: Wait a minute! I remember I've seen you car, on the 26th August 2009 at about 14:30 on the intersection of Many Lane and Station Road. Couldn't forget it, nice wheels :D
