My faithful steed is sick
.
Went to head to work this morning and she won't start.
Turn the ignition on, front panel lights up ok, I hear the usual distant "whirr" (fuel pump??), and then silence. All normal.
If I turn to start, the starter turns the engine over, but fails to even start to catch. It does however, produce enough torque to push the car out of my garage as I raise the clutch, and also reverse it back in (failed attempts to give it gas and lift the clutch while starting).
I've hooked up a jumpstarter, with no change. I'm just hoping that the jumpstarter is in need of a charge (which is ongoing as we speak).
Any other suggestions for what might ail it? It's an 02 Mk3 petrol 2.0 LX. Plenty of fuel (filled up the other day), and had a good 50 mile run on its last trip, where it has then sat in the garage since Saturday night.
Thanks in advance, suggestions hugely appreciated!
