Hi all,

Well now that i have a proper TV (LG PS3000) and my ps3 connected to it :)

What BR films would you recommend?

the first on my list is : Band of Brothers on BR as i said to myself this would be the 1st BR films (series) i buy :)

Band of Brothers looks great, you'll enjoy that.

My thoughts:

  • The Dark Knight
  • 300
  • Inglourious ********
  • Black Hawk Down
  • Edward Scissorhands
  • 2001: A Space Odyssey

I think its down to each individuals preference. I have these which look stunning IMO

Blade Runner
The Day After Tomorrow
Gangs of New York
Transformers I & II
Bourne Trilogy

I am looking forwards to The Lord of the Rings Trilogy to be released on Blu-Ray :)

Agreed. I've not seen the br but I bet this looks awesome.

I'd heard that some cgi looks awful in hd as the higher resolution shows up all the imperfections. Is that true?

Not for me. Probably the best looking blu-ray out there next to 2001 for me.

Well I've bought Band of Brothers on BR (already having it on DVD) all win :)

trying to find a decent way of showing off the TV at its top mark without BR (disk) as i don't have any atm ... any ideas? only thing i can think of is renting from ps3 shop or via xbox

I can imagine Star Trek being pretty awesome on Blu-Ray, though i haven't got around to watching it yet.

Unforgiven was quite impressive, and the Godfather trilogy was really well done! :)

My gf bought me District 9 for my birthday in blu-ray

I don't even have a player yet

The box looks great, so far I give it 8/10, a lot of that is anticipation though :)

Not a movie but Lost is amazing on Blu Ray puts nearly all dedicated movie releases to shame.

Thanks for all the reply's guys! :)

Band of Bros is my first BR experience which i hope to get Wednesday depending on royal fail

been trying to scope out good BR Deals but none that take my fancy! trying not to buy to many BR that i own on DVD ill get District 9 and UP for my b-day i think :)

The David Attenbourough Documentary Series "Earth" and "Life" are amazing on Blu-ray.

I watched that on normal TV so BR will be fantastic! good choice as i love all that documentary stuff :D
