OH MY GOD

Put the flags out, I drove a proper-ish car by this forums standards...Fiesta 1.25 Zetec

Didn't fiddle around with the seats, but the height position felt like I was so low down staring at the huge dashboard, no chance of seeing the bonnet not very much of a clear view...though it does feel very spacious inside and I suppose safe in the event of a crash :p

Not knowing whether it's a 60 or 82ps version, it still felt as if there was a nice amount of poke to it...

I do like the look of it to a certain degree. But I still hanker more for the previous generation Fiesta.

How can Ford justify say around £13500 for one of these though?
Perhaps they will make good second hand bargains.

JANESY I KNOW YOU CAN'T COMMENT RIGHT NOW, BUT I'D RATHER KEEP THE CORSA(for now, you are too easy to wind up) ;) :p

Next step may be to have a drive of the previous generation Fiesta...

The Zetec-S is really quite good looking in white.

Shame it's too slow, no plans for an ST version either I believe.

He drives a Corsa diesel covered in stick on tat from Halfords which he spent an absolute fortune on.

Ohhh, I thought you were saying that because i've got a Fiesta ST lol

had one a courtesy its pretty underpowered, lots of gadgets and buttons but why would someone spend that amount on a piddly little car I will never know

You could buy an E39 M5 or an X350 XJR for that! ...ok so running one is a whole other story, but even so, put's what you get into perspective eh.

The Steering feels very light and vague on the Fiesta, oh and the slightest touch on the brake pedal, brings the car to a halt...I suppose you can never be too safe but too eager to stop for my liking :p

No it does not have plenty of poke lol. I test drove one last year. It was horribly slow.

I thought the O.P was going to say something like a Stratos(sp?) or summit, Disappointment runs through my veins. :(

I had one as a courtesy car last week.

I had one in Zetec trim, and was impressed with the toys you get; bluetooth, electric folding mirrors, voice control, parking sensors etc. which surprised me for a courtesy/hire car.

But...

Steering is too light
Car doesn't move anywhere in the rev range other than between 2 and 3k RPM
Brakes are too sharp
Seating was too low
Visibility is crap
Stereo/Controls positioning make them awkward to operate whilst moving
Despite my best efforts to turn it off, and no matter how many times I pressed the "TA" button, with the icon lighting and disappearing from the display, I could not turn off traffic alerts!

And the car feels tiny in comparison to my old Corsa (D VXR).

Like someone said - in a few years, I'd probably pay £4k for one as a second/shopping/run around car if they proved to be reliable over the years, but £13.5k? No ta.

Two of my friends have just bought one in anticipation of a baby, and despite my best efforts to get them in a one year old petrol Focus, they've bought a brand new one of these instead.
