My MG ZS TD exhaust snapped clean off last night just after the de-cat pipe (middle section about an inch past the brackets) Anyway just in case anyone was wondering what that would sound like > courtesy of my mobile phone & YouTube...

What a row :D ...I had the entire backbox fall off a Fiesta once, (my first car) ...it actually sounded a hell of a lot better than the huge exhausts most chavs seem to stick on their carriages these days, made little popping noises and even backfired on me when slowing down a couple of times when going to get a new exhaust fitted. It wasn't a diesel though.

One of the funniest things Ive heard is when my friends exhaust manifold on his 1.0 nissan micra (when we were at college) detached itself, so the exhaust was coming straight out of the engine into the engine bay. Sounded like a bag of nails, but noisy enough to sound like a lemans car.

I have a nice blow going in front of my back box at the moment, and the back box is in none to good condition either. I like it.

I had this too with my old Megane. I wouldn't have fixed it so soon if it weren't for the fact the cat was knackered as well along with the exhaust, which sapped quite a bit of power ;)
