Wii Consoles ok for a 3year old to play

Im thinking about buying a Wii partly for myself altho no idea what games or anything but ive seen mario on there so that will do me :) want it for the social side tbh,

but anyways would / could a 3yr old use some games at all?

does anyone here's kids play wii an which controller do they use and what games?

thanks an i know bit of a strange one
 
well my 3yr old can use youtube, cbbies, cartoonito very easily, (from powering the pc up himself) i have f/fox links to the sites an off he goes playing the games, an watching the films, he's pretty switched on

but he's never played a console before hence me asking if anyone else has experience with there kids playing :)
 
Just spoke to my gf and her mates kid is two (three in march) and plays the Wii - Just Dance and Family Trainer was named. Just needs someone to set up for her.

Mines like that too with CBeebies!

Un-aided, I'd say they can't play much, as menu's and the like often get in the way, but he can just about serve and return a ball in Wii Sports now, so I'd say it's not impossible, but you do have to be alongside helping them for most stuff..

We just got him a DS for XMas, and he is surprisingly adept at that!!
 
my 3yr & 4yr olds play Mario Wii daily and they are surprisingly good !

So yes, get them one..

Caveat is they do become extremely addicted, and both have a tizzy when it goes off. Actually its now limited to 2hrs in the evening only !
 
oh yeah i forgot to mention my 3yr old completed SF2 HD and polished off the final boss in Tekken6.

He's also single handedly completed Final Fight !!!

Not bad for a little one if i do say so myself.
 
My 2 year old daughter loves playing the mario games on the wii. Im sure its fine for your 3 year old to play aslong as you aint gettin manhunt lol.
 
My 3yo plays on the wii

We tend to play Wii Sports/Resort and mario kart.

He's not very good but he knows what to press and has a basic understanding of the motions needed for various games (sword fighting, tennis, bowling, boxing and Mario Kart)

But he has not quite got the timeing (and sometimes the attention)... That all being said he really enjoys playing on the Wii with his daddy and thats whats most important.
