Planned Downtime on Thursday, February 4th

Beginning at 6:00 pm Pacific time Thursday February 4th, we will be performing software maintenance on some Steam servers. We expect the resulting downtime to last three hours at most, putting the end of the window at 9:00 pm Pacific time.

Some Steam services will be offline during this time. Affected services will include the Steam Community, in-game matchmaking or lobbies, downloading games from Steam content servers, and making purchases from the Steam store. Games that do not rely on Steam matchmaking services should remain playable.

News updates and any further information will be posted in this space.

We will work to make this downtime as short as possible. Thank you for your patience!

Friday morning actually, the only people up at 2am on a thursday night are students so for one we come out good

Yup I remember the last time this happened all the Americans were moaning as it effected them, the 'biggest market', the most and that it should be at silly o'clock in the morning their time instead

Not a big deal anyway really.

Since they have now borked games that used to work offline to never do so when you are disconnected.

hasn't for me for years. you used to be able to run css games with bots, game won't load in offline mode. many of my others are the same, but will run off disc.

you can still get offline mode, but I don't see the point. at all.

Works fine for me on several of my games I tested recently, only ones it didnt work for were ones I had only just installed, and hadn't run for the first time to validate/download the CD-Key, quite a few others worked fine!

Ah, Fudge.

I was going to be downloading the AvP demo tonight as I have tomorrow booked off work to play Star Trek Online for 3 days...

Guess I will just have to stay up and play STO til 5am or whenever steam is back online and then dl AvP and then go to bed.

There goes my sleeping pattern!!
