Opinions on new VW

I read this 2 door coupe is only going to be released in America, for UK/Europe we are only going to get a 5 door version...

The interior is the usual concept bling, imagine it with dark grey and dark grey and thats what it will look like

I think its nice, smaller than an A5 and "slightly" cheaper than the Audi counterpart whatever that may be

Sportback?

Sportback is what Audi call a Hatchback, so no, not Sportback.

Amusing really isnt it, they are so scared of 'Hatchback' being construed as 'non premium' they had to invent a totally ridiculous name for it.

The new A5 Sportback. Like a hatchback. Because it is one.

It's not just an Audi problem. BMW have the same thing with the 5 series GT...

Loads of manufacturers have silly names for stuff, how about a BMW 540i Touring, or a Mercedes E500 Wagon. They are not estates, because that would be far too average :p

looks to be quite a bit smaller than an A5 and most certainly wont offer some of the engines the A5 offers. I like it, but no doubt it will cost the earth for what it is!

VW is not a major brand over here in the USA, it's almost like a sleeping giant. Has great potential, now that the americans are turning away from their gas guzzling monstrosities.

L0rdmike, it would be interesting to hear what you drive to make a VW be so rubbish?

I dislike the interior. It looks old-fashioned but not retro.

The exterior is just dull. I'm sure there is a Photoshop filter called Plus 3 years at VAG group, and it just makes the last model look a little different but no better.

Shame it isn't a bit bigger, and called a Passat Coupe, because then it might come with the lovely 3.6 300PS Engine.

The 2.0T version of this will no doubt crazily expensive.
