Current job - Engineer
Salary - Metal
Working towards - Sentry Gun Lvl 3
 
Job: Software Developer for a Wine and Spirits research company in London
Salary: very comfortable.
Working Towards: nothing especially, I've done what I've done for 23 years in June and wouldn't change it, done games industry, done commercial, done industrial, I'll just go with what I find interesting.
 
Job Title: Statistical Analyst (i play with numbers for insurance companies)
Salary: More than i deserve, not enough to get my own place.
Working Towards: Unemployment as of next week. Moving continent.
 
Job: Contract Business Analyst (mainly media)
Salary: Upper end of market rates
Working towards: Working 8 months a year instead of 10.5 or a 4 day week.
 
Job: Student - "Aerospace and Aero-thermal" (with some Nuclear) Engineering - Cambridge
Salary: -ve :(
Working towards: not yet decided, though a commercial Q=10+ nuclear fusion plant would be nice
 
Current job - Pilot
Salary - earn 12K now, but I am training, in 5 years I should be up to around 80K tax free
Working towards - captain

£46k - £65k

Working towards the higher end of that scale, and a move to Edinburgh Tower when they let me.

How easy did you find it getting into that career?

I have always fancied it but my history lies in banking, I think I may have missed the plane, as such.
 
i work in a soul destroying sweat shop call centre dealing with **** ups ( and there are many, we rarely get an order correct to be honest) for a stationary company called viking direct. we are outsourced so we get paid very badly at £6.30 per hour which hasnt gone up in the 3 long miserable years ive worked here!

Don't listen to the terrible advice in the second post - do go to university, don't setup your own business until you have decent experience and unless it interests you don't work for mcdonalds.
 
Job: i build airbus planes
Salary: 33K+ depending if i can be arsed getting out of bed on a saturday
Working towards: to have atleast 10 days holiday left before may

Current job - Construction Superintendent (oil and gas).
Salary - reasonable and tax free, but you have to work soul destroying hours.
Working towards - early retirement.
 
Current Job - Technician.
Salary - ~£16,000 after tax.
Working Towards - Not being a burden on anybody.
