how do people feel about mercdes GP?
Is it just me that feels uncomfortable about them? I always support the British teams and jumped on the Brawn bandwagon as soon as it was announced. Now they are praticaly a German team even have press events in Stuttgart it doesnt feel right. I know its basicly still brawn but i just dont like it, German national antherm when they win will nail the coffin for me.

Well, they were "Japanese" before.... So, what ya gunna do? F1 teams change hands, and move on, and become different.
Usually the longest standing people at teams are the techies/mechanics/support staff!! Drivers/team principles/managment chop and change.
If nothing changes, things stagnate and get boring. The more shakeups and changes in the sport the better. Look at the buzz created by the new teams, drivers and rule change this year and last.
So to answer your original question, its another team with big boots to fill after last year, big funding, and interesting drivers... A usefull member of the grid. I hope they do well!
I like to think of myself as above supporting a single team, or driver. I have a soft spot for British drivers, and Button (funnily enough) has been my fave of mine for years. (Had a pic of him on my sports wall at my house since his first GP win!)
All I hope for each year is an interesting season with some British interest and some great racing!

Not uncomfortable, just wont see em as my "primary team" anymore, and I have no problems with this. I have always followed F1 quite differently to say Footie, where I am a one team (Man U) fan, always have been, always will be. It's hard (personally) to follow a team or driver seeing as F1 is so transient. There generally are teams I do not "like" (Ferrari/Renault), and teams I "support" (Honda (in various guises)/Macca), as well as drivers I do not particularly support.
Why do/did I support them? Well always liked Honda cars, owned a few, so naturally had an affinity with anything powered by them, or run by them. British drivers will always get a nod from me (Mansell, Hill, Button, Hamilton) too. It's not a "glory hunting" sport for me in any shape or form, more along the lines of me being hugely fascinated by cars, racing and racing drivers since I was a Sperm.
The whole Hamilton/Button/Macca thing works great for someone like myself
I'll be keeping an eye out on Kobayashi too, and hoping the new teams make a noteable impact on some races. Schumacher returning is also great for me, loved watching him years ago.Hard to explain, i'll sum it up (badly) by saying I dont really follow any one driver/team 100%, just keep an eye out on certain people who catch my eye at a given moment, or have been doing so for a while.
As a Schumacher fan I'll be behind the Mercedes team. Expecting an uncomfortable year though assuming that the british press will whip up the Mclaren rivalry into an England vs Germany rematch. Could find myself having to keep a low profile at Silverstone

Same way I felt about Brawn tbh. Ambivalent.
They're not one of the teams I support, which is bad, they're also not Ferrari, which is good.
Couldn't care less anymore, I've always followed drivers rather than teams. Will be a little tough seeing Jenson in one of the teams I detest.
I will enjoy watching how fast Rosberg catches on he's being tucked up and goes from 'it being a dream come true' to 'this has ruined my career'.
It will be an annoying year, if Schumacher wins everyone will have their reputation damaged as being only good because MS had retired and if Lewis beats MS the British press will be unbearable.
Hopefully teflonso will beat them all and shut them up.

I think merc have 3 and 4, and shumacher applied to have 3 swapped over to him, for "superstition" reasons.. iirc
