FSX Addon aircraft not working when flying.

Righto, I installed FSX in a pc a while ago and all if fine and dandy, everything works as it should, but having installed the "tornado" and "vulcan" addon packs, I find they won't run properly. basically, they appear in the aircraft selection menu, but when selcted, the window below is just white in colour with no image at all in it. When the game launches, I've either got a totally "white" screen with occasional flashes of an airplane (I think).
Does anyone here have any ideas, I reinstalled the video drivers, forceware 191, makes no difference.
Does anyone have any ideas before I attempt a total reinstal of FSX/addons?
Possible driver version, setup, summat I've missed maybe?

who is the developer for the addons?

assuming you have got sp2 or accleration pack? disable directx10 preview, that has worked for me for a few. seem to remember having to change a few other graphics setting for some, cant remember of the top of my head will have a look in a min

I've just got FSX myself, what are the best sources to get free stuff? I ask in here as I don't think its worth starting a new thread, and this thread is likely to attract FSX players.

The addons are discs bought from a shop staffed by the purple shirt brigade, each aircraft has its own disc and is developed specifically for FSX, FS2004.

Forgot to add that these addons were running fine with FSX BEFORE installed the "satek flight yolk and rudder pedals" I'm wondering if theres summat in saitek's software that interteres with the addons, DX10 maybe?
Currently got XP installed, all patched and updated.

right got it sorted. It was one of the settings in FSX, adjusted them from custom to high and all is fine and running no probs.
