Hi,
I've been looking at the 5800 recently, either to buy as PAYG or on contract. There's a contract offered by 3 (Three), for £25/month - unlimited texts, 75 minutes/month and unlimited internet. All subject to fair use policy of course. However £25 a month is significantly more than what I'm spending on my phone currently; I probably top up £10 every 4-5 weeks.
I can get the phone for £150 on PAYG, which is 6 months payment on contract. After which I would have no obligation to spend any further monies. However I wouldn't be getting the internet connection.
Is it worth going contract, even though by the time the term ends I'd have spent enough to purchase the phone 6 times over (more if you count the phones current market devaluation over time)? Or is it worth buying the phone as PAYG and finding a cheap internet connection for it?
To quell the inevitable naysayers; I realise I don't need a new phone as I only spend £10 every 4-5 weeks, but I wantz the gadgetz. Plus the Sat Nav and internet would be handy for me as I do a fair bit of travelling by motorcycle.
Cheers.
