Pump blown.. New pump advice!

Well I left my PC on over night to download CS and TF2 now that I've finally got internet in my new house.. Came down this morning and my PC was off. Turned it back on and it gave me loads of warnings that the pump wasn't spinning. Opened it up and looked inside and it turns out my pump is actually dead..

Now having not bought a pump in nearly 4 years I'm wondering which the best one to go for is now.. My old one was a DDC Ultra 18W.

Any advice welcome thanks! :)

Edit: Might be considering selling my kit and just getting an air cooler now.. Any recommendations?

Maybe look into the Corsair H50 if you don't want to go back to custom kit?
Shame about the DDC Ultra, ive got two of these and they are fantastic!

Trust it shutdown before any damage was done?

Yeh, I booted it up earlier with a stock cooler on and all is OK thankfully! :)

Am thinking I might just go for the Megahelem now and sell my rad etc on. Seems to be a decent performance for not too much cash.
 
Pumps haven't changed much, although the prices have shot up. I've had D5's for the last four years no probs, would definitely get those again, if the ddc has been good for you i'd get another, no reason to change.

Depends what you want, water affords you a lot of options and flexibility, no way i'd go back personally.

I had a DDC which failed after 2 years (well less than the MTBF) so I'm in with this thought. I suspect this was down to lack of active cooling as it did run hot with no air flow in a 5.25" bay.

Had an MCP600 before and that is still working. Have now got a D5 (which admittedly going to be noisier than a DDC even suspended) but the reliability factor for me suggests you go for a D5 with aftermarket top.
 
Looks like I've given up on watercooling for the time being now.. Decided on getting a new Megahelem cooler and a new Fractal R2 case to go with it! :)

So much for not spending any money this week..
