NASA has released the most detailed and dramatic images ever taken of Pluto

Can't hubble see into other galaxies with a long enough exposure?

Therefore it should be able to get a decent image of Pluto.

Also this is the second thing they've released this week. They seem to be trying to earn their funding at the moment :)

again as other posts pointed out, galaxies and nebula are a lot brighter than pluto, pluto is a small planet about the size of a pea. imagine trying to take a picture of a pea 40 miles away, tbh i thinks it remarkable.

on the note of planets we now using a telescope to detect planets in our galaxy using the stars and when a planet crosses the star in orbit it creates a small dark blob, amazing. i beleive the telescope is called the kepler.

Apparently they've managed to sharpen it up a bit, CSI-style

Thats not detailed enough for CSI, zoom in and enhance!

So what if its taken 4 years to enhance it this much, CSI will do a better job in 30 seconds, while commentating!

It doesn't say detailed, it says most detailed yet. Which they clearly are.

I'm surprised it is surface is changing at that distance.

I'll be honest, I was expecting a bit more detail!

How do we even know these are real, it doesn't exactly take long! -
