Cheap snowboard/ski holiday. How?

Just got back from a week boarding in La Plagne, and I need to go on another holiday this year.

I also have some friends who want to give snowboarding a try (lessons etc) but don't want to pay loads of money for it.

I've only ever booked months in advance, and never anything at short notice. I'm looking to go at the end of feb or beginning of march, and want it to be somewhere with good boarding. Not too fussed about quality of accomodation, and will be self catering.

I've looked at the normal package deal places, and tried pricing up individual flights, accomodation transfers etc, but can't find any particularly good deals

So, what is the best way of getting a cheap last minuteish holiday somewhere decent for 27th feb of 6 march???

Directski
Lastminute
Crystal Ski
Thomson Ski

They've all got deals from about £250 for the week upwards, dont forget to price in any hire and passes though. Also you should be able to get quidco cashback on all but directski.

I recommend Mayrhofen in Austria, amazing resort and really cheap to boot.

We managed to get a huge Chalet year before last and was £70 each for a week, admittedly with a couple of people bedding down on the floor.

Don't forget they probably don't include lift passes (which can be up to £150pp), lessons or equipment hire.

Lastminute are offering a week in Banff for 4 self-catering for £209.00 pp!

Got to fly tomorrow though.

If three of you are up for it, let me know. :D

Is that including flights? Even when you factor in lift pass that's dirty cheap if it is!

OP try wastelandski.com - I keep getting emails from them with stupidly low prices, and they usually include lift passes in the price!

True enough, but in my case I was factoring in the cost of driving down to the Alps between 3 or 4 of us. We'd all have our own equipment too which would mean no renting...so it'd be about £100 each on top of that from North Yorkshire - no idea about flights as we've always coached or driven.

Still though, if you can find cheap flights/have the option to drive down to the Alps then they're good ;)

I personally have no experience with booking packages as I've only been with college/uni, but the Telegraph app on my iPhone often has some deals on one section - here's a few companies they listdeals from currently:
