Help, neighbour stitching me up!!

K_O is the approach i would want to take but you will end up getting locked up if you do.Stand your ground and tell him your only paying for the damage that you caused, also tell him that if you was going to pay for any damage that you did not cause then you would only be an idiot to yourself for doing it...stand your ground, and dont back down,if he hits you,you can then K_O him as its self defence.

If there's nothing in writing then it's his word against you with regards to the fog light, if you own up to that you open the door to the fraudulent claim he's willing to dump on you for the rest of the repairs. I'd wait to see what he does and get a look at the bill, if he's talking about landing it all with you I'd laugh in his face and say you know nothing.

I'm fairly reasonable though, seeing as you have witnesses to the crash, I'd personally point this out to him and say you're willing to pay for the fog light + fitting but if he wants to take it to court, you'll happily line up the witnesses and watch him fail.

Ultimately nobody wants this sort of garbage going on with the neighbours - get it cleared up ASAP so you can all get back to normal.
