Getting some next week.

Currently auditioning the stax4040 system. Immediate reaction is that it has lot of detail (compared to hd650) but lack bass.

they do look amazing, but £100 is my cut off point for soundcard and for headphones

tbh they are cheap if they are as good as they look/review.

Let's face they are plenty of people even on this forum who will spend £1000 on speakers to listen to their music so headphones are no different.

Haha but unfortunately I'm spending £1000 on a PC and after that a decent monitor so probs wont have the cash to get any for a while... but i can still fantasize

I think I will stick with my Grado SR125 headphones for the timebeing!! I think that the HD800 is a bit outside my price range!!

I wish I had got a a pair of HD600 headphones when they were available for around £100 to £120 brand new a few years ago.
