Quad core stress test?

I know you may be exaggerating, but your CPU won't be damaged unless you deliberately overvolt it. They have thermal shutdown parameters built in so heat can't cause an issue. Running intelburntest is a good way of determining how stable your CPU is at your selected clock speed and voltage(s).
 
Try Prime95 first it's safer. Prime will usually give errors before crapping out entirely and you know to back off on the overclock.

For real stress testing I would recommend Intelburn or S&M. These are two of the most stressful CPU tests I know. They both take CPU temps higher than a Prime small FFT run. I tend to use temperature montoring software when using either with high overvolted overclocks, and have one finger on the mouse for 'stop' if I think temps are going too high and one finger on the reset button for a lock up.

You need to have 2 Orthos running and then ctrl atl del, find the 2 Orthos in Processes Tab and right click on one and choose Set Affinity to Cpu 0 and Cpu 1 make sure that 3+4 are unticked.
Then go to the Orthos Process below and do the same thing however make sure that this time 3+4 are ticked and 0+1 are unticked
When you run it now (2 instances) all 4 cores are being tested
