Thinking of up-grading to this card XFX ATI Radeon HD 5870, going to be putting it a Coolermaster Storm 'Scout' Gaming Case.....just checking it will fit!!
My 8800GTX is 10.5" that just fits.

You have 10.5" from the pci bracket at the rear of the case to the hdd cage at the front. I measured my Storm when these cards came out for someone else.

I have a second system in a Antec 900 gaming case, thinking i will swap motherboards and components, it should fit in that ok.
Thaks all for the help.

Not all of them.

I've just replaced my EVGA 8800GTX ACS3 edition with a Sapphire HD 5870 Vapor-X (rev. 2) and the 5870 is shorter and narrower than the 8800GTX (as well as quieter, cooler and more powerful ).

Nice to know....what size is the new card?

Not really looking for a new case, only got this one a couple of months ago....it's my fault for not doing my homework on the size of card it takes...anyway of moding my case to make it fit?

Just had a look at my Scout and the pcb of the card and the power sockets clear the bottom of the 5.25" drive bays. If you were prepared to fit a aftermarket cooler to your card then it should fit with the last 1-2" of the card being inside the 5.25" bay.

What about a 5850? will that fit?
Instead of hacking the case apart, why don't you just sell it as it's fairly new and get another that fits properly, YES I know it's hassle, but better than a hack job.
What happens if later you want another for some xfire?
