*****The Official Aliens Vs Predator 3*****

just gave the demo a quick play. not bad, nothing special. laggy servers didn't help much. starting weapon for marine was just spray and pray (and kill 4 people without reloading or letting go of fire). not really interested in buying the game until it hits £10 on steam :)

I actually quite enjoyed the demo, no clue how to play predator properly in the 5mins i played it though. Marine is not as bad as i thought it would be.

Enjoyable game and for £17 worth a punt

I like it as well, runs great tho not really pushing any boundaries. Hoping for a good single player experience from this one.

Having played the demo awhile now its growing on me. If the release has better graphics etc I can see this being a winner. But for me it was always about the single player fun so hopefully it'll be good.

This leaves me with an issue in multiplayer, I use a 360 controller, can I use the mic in windows as I would on xbox or do I need a seperate external mic?

Nvidia users wont see any futher gfx than whats been seen in demo. Since ati with tessalation are the only ones to see a vast improvement tho might run like a dog cos of it.

They released the mp demo as most ppl would want to try mp games see how it was. Probs keeping the sp as its a nice experiance and they dont feel you want to repeat what u did. Well thats the guess anyhow.

I'm enjoying this demo immensely, although I do feel I haven't really learnt how to play properly and have no idea what focus is for but still topping leader board :p

Tip for Aliens - use your tail strike to one shot the lights :D

Been playing the demo and i must say i've been enjoying playing as the alien... Rejiggling of the controls so most of them are on the mouse (wall transition and focus on thumb buttons, sprint to shift etc.) and it makes the world of difference. Much better experience! Which ever play tester thought the default layout was ergonomic obviously had a massive 7 fingered left hand.

I've preordered it for £17.99 and just pray it doesnt go the way of OpFlash2: Dragon Rising.

Ok, we get it :)

Lol that Oxy guy has been going on and on and on about this been a poor game! Move on ! :P on a serious note though there are some serious issues with the demo.

The biggest I feel is the range and mass use of trophy kills from behind. The range of them should be cut down massivly I actually grabbed an alien while they where half way across a jump earlier :s

yeah as i said earlier the trophy kills are a bit stupid and way too easy to perform. Hopefully if this is actually just a copy of the console demo they will be hard to perform in the pc game. At the moment there is no sense of satisfaction from performing one, they are just too easy and occure way too often.

A couple of new vids

I thought that hologram stripper flashing away (no pun intended|) and blasting out music was a really good piece of level design tbh. Really disorients you with the aliens coming at you, especially when it masks their sounds.

I didn't realise there were that many different attacks/counter attacks/blocks etc. Ill have to watch that video again and give the multiplayer another go.

I did have a second blast at the multiplayer again with an alien. Still seems really hard to control, mainly because you seem to get flipped around so easily when crawling on the walls and ceiling. That will really take some practice. I did a bit better this time and cheered when i got a trophy kill by sneaking up to a predator on the ceiling and giving him death from above :). I can definitely see the multiplayer appeal in this game in the stalking/hunting modes and the alien survivor mode. Deathmatch is a good blast and all but i dont think it will hook me like the other modes might.

Ok this game is frakking awesome!

First the demo ****ed me off because I could not get into game, but they fixed it, I played it for two or so hours and immediately preordered it (18 pounds including shipping from UK) for me and my friend! Everything about it, graphics, weapon feel, sounds, atmosphere = awesome. Only thing I dislike is lack of crouch and a little consolised controls. But GODDAMN it's still awesome. Cannot wait.
