Right I've decided to kick the MMORPG habbit. Its been some time since I played and really enjoyed any of them past the first month. SWG pre CU, DAOC and AC2 being the best for me.

I'm thinking of going back and picking up some old RPG's instead starting with Mass Effect as Steam have it for £12 and I never played it on the Xbox before selling it.

Can any recommend any other single player RPG classics I've missed in the last few years?

Cheers

Oblivion :) Maybe fallout 3 if you prefer guns and shizzle. Titan quest is alright on LAN with some mates.

Good call I forgot about Oblivion. I've played it on the Xbox but hated the way mobs leveled with you. I'm guessing there would be a mod to fix that on the PC version. Do you think a 9800M GTS would cope at 1680x1050?

Dragon Age.

End of thread :)

In all seriousness, the main thing about getting away from MMOs is to find things to go away from the computer or you'll always be tempted! Dragon Age, Oblivion, ME1 + ME2 are a good start though.

Yeah there's mods for absolutely everything. I dunno about that particular card but a couple of my mates play it on their laptops and it's fine.

that card will be fine.
If you play games like oblivion though you'll probably get sucked in and spend as much time on that.

Stopped playing mmorpgs ages ago been working on my back log of games I got since :)

Same for me, I kicked a 5 year WoW habit just before Christmas - I had a pile of games built up I never had time for. Most of it is console stuff, but have got a couple PC games I want to play through.

The only problem is, I reinstalled Baldur's Gate with the Tutu graphics update and I'm not addicted to that :) Better than WoW I suppose! I think that's the key to quitting MMOs, have something else to fill the time - either go out and do things, or at the very least play some other games you haven't got round to playing yet.
