Hi, ive been deciding weather to get a 30Inch tv as my pc gaming monitor/normal monitor. ANyway tonight i decided to connect my sony 26Inch tv upto it via my 5870 using the HDMi port.. and WOW boy does it BLOW!! -_- So i deicded to connect it to my 31.5Inch downstairs via the HDMI port and same again! The picture is fuzzy, writing is unreadable, porn is unwatchable and its got some weird colours (even after changing pic settings) etc.. is this normal or something? the 30.1 inch one is a cheap brand but the Sony bravia one was exspensive! Are all televisions like this when used as a PC monitor? :(

(the sony bravia and the Panache dont have 24Mhz movie flow motion or 100Mhz or anything)
P.s Joke about the porn ;) x

strange just changed the 30.1 inch (that can run at 1080p) down to a MUCH lower res.. and its a better quality... >< (still not as good as my Cheap pc monitor tho)

No. Just make sure you're using the native res, right refresh rates and check if the TV supports 1:1 mapping and on which inputs.

I've been using a Sony 32D3000 (1366 x 768) and also a 52X3500 (1920 x 1080) and I've had no complaints gaming, browsing whatever.

Not sure if there's any HDTV settings in the CCC you might need to play around with.

Hmm had a mess around for around 30mins and was stuck what to do next. The Tv is pure HD (1080p)it said recomended res was 1080x1280? :( I tyred everything in CCC but no luck :( ah well lol

To get a good computer picture on a TV it's pretty much essential to have 1:1 pixel mapping and disable as many of the picture 'enhancement' features as possible.

My Sony 40W2000 is ideal in those respects, but still the picture looks too "harsh" and isn't that nice to use, compared to a proper computer monitor.
