What have you done!

I bet you've got it all over your face too.

Clean it off and start again, that looks like too much and it's everywhere!

Not as bad as it looks, its none on the clip around it just on the processor now. Show me a pic of how it should look or something, its very fine layer, any less and it keeps showing lines of the processor

Too much imo. Only need a rice size amount in the centre then carefuklly twist the heatsink on it before screwing it down

little drop in the middle, can use cooler as a pressure, but I remove usually pressure and spread more if necessary, as very very thin' layer suppose to be.
thinner layer can reduce temp 2-6C.

I use methylated spirits and cotton buds for removal and a little bead in the center of the CPU when applying.

This method with a Megahelems keeps my 920 D0 very happy at 3.8GHz peaking at 60C.

When you say you applied it using a glove, you don't mean the woolie sort do you? :D Looking at the pic I think I can see what looks like strands of white thread, were you gloves white?

Either way though, there's too much on and it should only be on the cpu itself, nowhere else.

3.8 with a d0,i get 3.8 with mu c0,you should be at 4ghz minimum not 3.8.

LMAO, sorted problem now/

Added thin layer (pea size) and spread with card on CPU.

Its funny that even after all these years people still have different ways of applying thermal paste.
