ok after much searching i think i have actually found a case that would fit the space i have and still be good cooling, silent and look fab, but i cannot find any in stock :( can anyone advise a good way of getting this case ?

or a similar spec

Bought from that retailer a few months ago and they have it in stock. Great case, some recent photos I took here.

Worth getting one of the lian li drive bezels for it so it all looks nice and neat...
 
omg iv got the same cooler and was lookin at that mobo lol are we secretly related?? anything u dont like about it?

Nah not that I've found, but then it's only the second case I've built in and the first was a pile of junk.

Things I like about it...

PSU is hidden

Clips on back of MOBO tray, very easy to route cables around.

included fans seem pretty quiet, I'm not fussed about changing them

there is a matching drive bezel available

I was worried about getting fingerprints all over it - Definately not the case on the outside, it's easier to mark the inside (non brushed) but these can be wiped off.

Power button on top, and dust cover over all the front ports

Looks pretty sweet:) Complements my cinema display nicely

general build quality...


Not so keen on

Power/HD activity LED's. They're very bright! I taped them off a bit to dull them down.

HD's cant be reversed in the hard drive cage without fouling the front intake fan (see my linked post earlier)

I've been racking my brains and these are all I can think of! Very minor issues tbh!
 
iv been thinking about getting caddies to adapt the 5.25 bays for hdds does this look possible? i will get a drive bezel iv a sony bd rw to fit so il need one at least.

regarding the lights, i know someone on here used a biscuit wrapper for leds lol cant remember who though! i laughed when i read it, someone called it the mcvitie hobnob mod. :D

Lian Li BZ-502A 120mm Front Bay Cooler Silver, that would look nice in the case, but it might stop the addition of hdds in those 3 bays. not sure, dunno if i need to get a fan controller either, will have to find some reviews and stuff.

I don't think you'll be able to fit the HD cage behind that.
 
<3 my A17b, not sure I prefer it to my Eclipse (best case every IMO but plastic front and HUGE). I'd buy this again but it is a little noisy, but that's what you get for good cooling
